A story about family name THYSTRUP
På dansk

I'm Mogens Thystrup and I was born in 1934. I live in Denmark at the scenic Stevns in a small cozy village, which is called Hellested. There, I've lived for 34 years. I have 2 sons and 4 beautiful grandchildren.
I have researched my surname Thystrup and found around 130 people with the same surname.
I have contacted some relatives, but hope to have more contacts. It is Bent in Australia; Finn in Sweden; Steen in Albertslund and Birthe on Moen.

It starts with a farmer Ole Hansen, he was born around 1775 and lives in the village Tystrup in Holbaek County. In 1802 he gets a son who customary beliefs, is given the name Hans Olsen (Oles son Hans). Hans Olsen, he was born in 1802, he must be married off in the first 1829'erne. A later relative named Christian Emil, writes among other that Hans was married again with Inger Walther in 1834. She was born in 1814, and they will have their first child in 1835. His life deed from 1825, is by the military, where his surname changed to Thystrup.
They live on Kastellet until 1852 and will have a total of 9 children (5 girls and 4 boys.).

Inger Walther Hans Thystrup
The youngest son called Alfred and he is number 9 in the series. Alfred is my great-grandfather and his eldest son Carlo Alfred Aksel, born in 1884, is my Grandpa. I belong to the Alfred branch. Almost all Alfred boys Aage Oscar Anton (born 1885), Alfred Edmond (born 1893), Johannes Gerhard Emil (born 1899) and Gerhard Holger (born 1903) emigrated to the United States, where they get married and have children and die . Then there are also relatives "over there".

This is a village in Tissø's history, which offers an entire family's surname.

So if anyone out there in "cyberspace" know something more, then please mail me.

Sincerely,

Mogens Thystrup
